Circle

If two segments from the same exterior point are tangent to a circle,  then they are congruent.

Because of the reflexive property,  line segment BL  is congruent to line segment  BL.

Using the HL theorem , both triangles,   GLB and triangle ILB, are congruent.

Line segment GL is equal to line segment IL.
